Madame Cezanne, the first exhibition of paintings, drawings, and watercolors by Paul Cezanne (1839-1906) of his most painted model, Hortense Fiquet (1850-1922), will open at The Metropolitan Museum of Art today, November 19.

Madame Cézanne, the first exhibition of paintings, drawings, and watercolors by Paul Cézanne (1839–1906) of his most painted model, Hortense Fiquet (1850–1922), will open at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on November 19. The exhibition will trace Cézanne's lifelong attachment to the woman who was his model, his wife, and the mother of his son, Paul. She profoundly influenced his portrait practice for more than two decades, and yet, she was not well received—by either his family or his friends.

Ballet School NY, the official training school of New York Theatre Ballet, will begin 2014-15 Dance Classes on September 15, 2014 at its new home at St. Mark's Church in-the-Bowery at 131 East 10th Street. Registration for the 2014-2015 School Year is now open.

New York Theatre Ballet announces the 2014-15 season, which will include a national tour and repertory performances at the 92nd Street Y (January 10-12, 2015), New York Live Arts (February 18-21, 2015) and Danspace (June 17-20, 2015). NYTB continues to maintain its association with the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall, and the Company's Once Upon A Ballet series for children will continue at Florence Gould Hall throughout the year. NYTB will also continue to offer its Free Ticket Program for families who are unable to afford to attend performances.
