Sonder Productions is proud to present their inaugural production of Bonnie & Clyde: The Musical. The short-lived Broadway show by Frank Wildhorn is given new life in this stripped down, honest look at the infamous criminals. In a day and age when desperate times call for desperate measures, Bonnie & Clyde gives a voice to those whose circumstances force them to make hard decisions. This show dives into the grey area of what it means to be a citizen, and raises the question: which is more important, obeying the law and keeping the peace, or making the choice to live a full life?

Dog Days Theatre Continues with DOUBLE INDEMNITY on 8/8

FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training's inaugural season of Dog Days Theatre continues with DOUBLE INDEMNITY, David Pichette and R. Hamilton Wright's stage adaptation of James M. Cain's titillating crime novel that inspired the groundbreaking Academy Award-nominated film noir of the same name. Dog Days Theatre is a new theater project offering smart, contemporary works just light enough for the dog days of summer, featuring two plays mounted in the Cook Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts, using professional actors, directors and designers from the community and around the country along with the talents of the Conservatory's graduate students. Directed by FSU/Asolo Conservatory Director Greg Leaming and Jesse Jou,  DOUBLE INDEMNITY previews August 8 and 9, opens August 10 and runs through August 27.

11th Hour Closes Season with Next Step Concert Series Performance of BROADCAST

11th Hour Theatre Company's 12th season comes to a close with its final Next Step Concert Series performance. This time the series features a new musical by Nathan Christensen and Scott Murphy, Broadcast.  Broadcast comes to the Next Step Concert Series June 23-25. Steve Pacek, 11th Hour's Associate Artistic Director and Co-Founder, directs. Amanda Morton is the Music Director. Lesser America (Half Moon Bay, The Bachelors, Carnival Kids, Trevor) presents the New York Premiere of IN A WORD by Lauren Yee, winner of the 2016 Francesca Primus Prize and a finalist for the ATCA/Steinberg Award. Directed by Tyne Rafaeli (The Bridges of Madison County national tour, Actually at Geffen Playhouse), previews began June 16 at Cherry Lane Theatre, where Lesser America continues its run as the inaugural Company in Residence. Opening night is slated for tonight, June 21.

The Skivvies' Nick Cearley to Lead AN ACT OF GOD at B Street Theatre

A series of tweets on the parody account @TheTweetofGod landed American comedy writer David Javerbaum a book deal. Eventually that book, The Last Testament: A Memoir By God, was adapted for the stage and renamed as An Act of God. The stage version premiered at Broadway's Studio 54 Theatre in 2015 with Big Bang Theory sitcom star Jim Parsons in the leading role. A second run featured Will & Grace's Sean Hayes in the leading role, and now the B Street Theatre will give the holy role to Nick Cearley (Buyer & Cellar).

Naughty, funny, dark and romantic: Odyssey Theatre Ensemble presents a revival of Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, the off-Broadway hit by Eric Blau and Mort Shuman that introduced American audiences to the Belgian singer-songwriter known as the "Bob Dylan of France." Director Dan Fishbach and musical director Anthony Lucca helm Jacques Brel… for a July 1 opening at the Odyssey, where it will continue through Aug. 27.

It was a night full of Broadway and TV reunions for beloved stage and screen star Judith Light at the 2017 Monte Cristo Award ceremony earlier this week, presented by the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center and held for the first time at 583 Park Avenue. Light's LOMBARDI co-star Dan Lauria and 'Ugly Betty' co-star Michael Urie joined in on the celebrations, and Director Thomas Kail presented Light with her honor. 

Actress and Philanthropist Dina Merrill Passes Away at Age 93

Dina Merrill Hartley (born Nedenia Marjorie Hutton; December 29, 1923-May 22, 2017) was an American actress, businesswoman and philanthropist.  She died peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
