The producers of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL just announced that Krystal Joy Brown (Big Fish, Leap of Faith) will assume the role of “Diana Ross” beginning Thursday, January 23 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.

Basquiat, a new musical about the life and times of 80's art-star, Jean Michele Basquiat just premiered a special concert version of the show at Joe's Publast night, December 16th. The performers included Eric LaJuan Summers (Motown: The Musical) as well as Lena Hall (Kinky Boots) and Felicia Finley(Mama Mia, The Wedding Singer). Other performers include Ken Robinson (Memphis), Julius Thomas III (Motown: The Musical) Chad Carstarphen (In the Heights), Benjamin Mapp, Jimmy Lambert, Roger DeWitt, Eddie Varley andNikki Kimbrough (A Night with Janis Joplin). Tony Award nominated Broadway veteran Brenda Braxton's (Smokey Joe's Cafe, Chicago) gentlemen's grooming company BBRAXTON has been named the official barber for Broadway's smash hit MOTOWN THE MUSICAL.

BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano. Tonight, October 24th, Broadway Sessions welcomes cast members from Motown The Musical and more.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Felicia Boswell has stepped into the role of 'Diana Ross' in Broadway's MOTOWN, while Tony nominee Valisia LeKae is on vacation. Boswell first began performances earlier this week on August 13, and will remain through September 23 when LeKae returns to the Lunt-Fontanne.

This year's BROADWAY BARES will feature special appearances by 2013 Tony Award winners Judith Light (The Assembled Parties) and Billy Porter (Kinky Boots), Tony and Olivier Award winner Alan Cumming (Macbeth), and musical performers The Skivvies (Nick Cearley and Lauren Molina). Bravo TV host and executive Andy Cohen will announce the winners of this year's Strip-a-thon online fundraiser at the midnight performance.

MOTOWN THE MUSICAL's "Jackson 5," led by Raymond Luke Jr. as Michael Jackson, visited Wendy Williams' hit daytime show for a live performance of a medley of Jackson 5 songs and to give Wendy some advice for her upcoming Broadway debut in Chicago. Check out their performance and interview below!

The 31st Annual Fred & Adele Astaire Awards took place last night, June 3 at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts at New York University (566 LaGuardia Place). Winners included: Charlotte d'Amboise- PIPPIN (Outstanding Female Dancer in a Broadway Show), Eric Lajuan Summers- MOTOWN (Outstanding Male Dancer in a Broadway Show), Chet Walker- PIPPIN (Outstanding Choreographer of a Broadway Show), and Sidi Larbi Cherkaouit- Anna Karenina (Outstanding Choreographer in a Feature Film).
