Happy New Year, BroadwayWorld! As we eagerly anticipate the amazing musicals and plays coming up in 2016, we're taking a moment to look back at the significant Broadway closings of 2015.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) and TodayTix, the theater ticket app, announced today a CheapTix mobile lottery for Lazarus by David Bowie and Enda Walsh (Once, Tony Award), BroadwayWorld has learned. To increase access to tickets, this TodayTix program will replace the previously announced in-person lottery and will offer $25 tickets to the fastest selling show in NYTW history.

People have been 'Falling Slowly' in love with ONCE ever since composers Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova first enchanted audiences in 2007 with their tender, surprise hit indie romance. Now fans of the film and equally successful Tony Award-winning Broadway musical adaptation have one last chance to fall in love all over again as the current Broadway national tour comes to an end in Boston on December 27.

With its first national tour wrapped, beloved folk/indie blend Broadway musical ONCE will, once more, hit the road. A new national tour of the eight-time Tony winning musical will launch in January 2016 in Utica, NY, before traveling coast-to-cast, with stops in Los Angeles, Detroit and more planned. ROCK OF AGES alum Sam Cieri and Boston Conservatory student Mackenzie Lesser-Roy will lead the cast. The company just met the press and BroadwayWorld is taking you inside the special day below!

CBS welcomes Michael C. Hall and the cast of the new off-Broadway musical LAZARUS to perform on LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT tonight, Dec. 17th.

David Bowie has shared a first listen to 'Lazarus,' the second single off his upcoming album Blackstar. The song will debut in full this Thursday, December 17th on the BBC and NPR.

St. Ann's Warehouse will continue the inaugural season in its new waterfront theater with the American Premiere of Irish composer Donnacha Dennehy and writer-director Enda Walsh's thrilling new opera The Last Hotel, in a Landmark Productions / Wide Open Opera production. Due to unprecedented demand, New York Theatre Workshop has announced a final extension of three additional performances for LAZARUS by David Bowie and Enda Walsh (Once, Tony Award), BroadwayWorld has confirmed. The fastest selling show in NYTW history, LAZARUS is inspired by the novel The Man Who Fell to Earth by Walter Tevis and directed by Ivo van Hove (Hedda Gabler, More Stately Mansions,Obie Awards). LAZARUS began previews on November 18 and officially opens tonight, December 7, 2015 at New York Theatre Workshop (79 E. 4th Street New York, NY 10003). The additional performances will be: Monday, January 18 at 8PM, Tuesday, January 19 at 8PM, and Wednesday January 20 at 8PM.
