The Original Broadway Cast Recording of NEWSIES is now available digitally today on Ghostlight Records. The album has debuted at #1 on the iTunes Soundtracks chart and #15 on the iTunes album chart.To purchase the album, visit iTunes here. The recording is set for physical release on May 15th, 2012. The physical release will feature three special bonus tracks including an exclusive version of "Santa Fe" performed by lead Jeremy Jordan accompanied by Alan Menken on piano. BILLY ELLIOT THE MUSICAL to Offer Day Of Show Lottery Daily at Pantages Theatre

The Los Angeles premiere of BILLY ELLIOT THE MUSICAL begins performances tonight, Tuesday April 10 at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood for a limited five week engagement through Sunday May 13. Broadway/L.A. is announcing that a day-of-show lottery for a limited number of $25 seats will be held for each performance.

Olney Theatre Center today announced two special cabaret performances by DC- Area favorites Felicia Curry, George Dvorsky, JJ Kaczynski, Tracy Lynn Olivera and Chris Youstra called Ebony, Ivory and Ink. The cabaret will feature some of the most beloved musical classics and is scheduled to take to Olney Theatre Center's Mainstage on Friday, May 4 and Saturday May 5, 2012.

THE LION KING Becomes All-Time Highest Grossing Show on Broadway

According to the Associated Press, Broadway's landmark musical event THE LION KING has just become the all-time highest grossing show on Broadway surpassing THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. THE LION KING'S total gross now adds up to a whopping $853,846,062, while PHANTOM, which opened ten years earlier, remains at $853,122,847.

Casting has been announced for the Orlando return engagement of Disney's THE LION KING. Orlando's eagerly awaited stage production will leap onto the Bob Carr stage from April 17 to May 13. The press opening night is Thursday, April 19 at 8 p.m. The show's six-week premiere engagement in 2006 played a sold-out run at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre.

The Lyric Stage Company of Boston presents the Boston premiere of Jon Marans' Off-Broadway hit THE TEMPERAMENTALS, a chronicle of the love story between Harry Hay and Rudi Gernreich, founders of the Mattachine Society in 1950s Los Angeles. Director Jeremy Johnson's vision employs techniques of film noir to take the audience on a temperamental journey for a view of the grassroots effort that began to change the world, nearly two decades prior to the Stonewall Riots.
