 New Jersey Ballet returns to Mayo Performing Arts Center for three performances the weekend of May 16-17.

BAYOU CITY CONCERT MUSICALS continues its popular cabaret series with RIDIN' HIGH: Cole Porter in the 1930s, at 7:30 p.m., Today, May 16; 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 17; and 7:30 p.m., Monday, May 18, 2015. The evening of song will again be presented at the Performance Centre of the Ensemble Theatre, 3535 Main between Holman and Berry Street, in the heart of Midtown. (Entrance to The Centre is located on the corner of Fannin and Berry directly behind the theatre and has convenient free parking, courtesy of Houston Community College.)

Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress, singer, and recording artist Leslie Uggams received an Honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Connecticut, Storrs on Saturday, May 9 during the School's 2015 commencement ceremonies. Legendary jazz composer Billy Strayhorn's music takes center stage when the Jazz Orchestra of Philadelphia (JOP) plays tribute in the Perelman Theater tonight, May 9 at 8p.m. Presented by the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and under the artistic direction of renowned Philadelphia trumpeter Terell Stafford, the performance celebrates Strayhorn's 100th birthday with a special program including 'Take the 'A' Train,' 'Satin Doll,' and Strayhorn's most famous ballad, 'Lush Life.'

Sally Kellerman, the Oscar-nominated “Hot Lips” of the original “M*A*S*H,” will bring her new show, “A Little Jazz, a Little Blues, a Little Rock and Roll” to the new Dave Koz Lounge at Spaghettini Beverly Hills on Friday, May 1 at 8:30 PM. The acclaimed show is a celebration of her 40-year cabaret career, from early years at Reno Sweeney in Greenwich Village up to recent performances in New York, Hollywood and San Francisco.
