Mitchell Walker and AKA Studio Productions produced Alexa Green's launch party on Sunday, June 19 at 7pm at The Lively featuring Bailen the Band, as well as Broadway veterans Christine Dwyer (WICKED) Amber Iman (SOUL DOCTOR, SHUFFLE ALONG) and Marcus Paul James (RENT, IN THE HEIGHTS). Chris Weaver, Jill Vanderoef, and Blaine Krauss (LION KING, RADIO CITY SPRING SPECTACULAR) sang backup. Green was accompanied on stage by James Sampliner for a special performance as well. Mitchell Walker, of AKA Studio Productions, presents The Roast of Allyson Pavone! LIVE at Don't Tell Mama. This event will be a celebration of Broadway Favorite, Allyson Pavone (Les Miserables, Children of Eden) and is sure to be a one of a kind evening. The Roast is a variety show featuring some of Broadway/ Night Life's finest performers, plus some classic roast repartee celebrating the Birthday of Allyson Pavone. 'The Library will be open.'

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Tony Award-winner Beth Leavel (THE DROWSY CHAPERONE) will star in the Muny's new cabaret, MUNY MAGIC, at Sheldon Concert Hall.

Cheyenne Jackson has signed on to play 'Hudson' in William J. Stribling's upcoming feature film Bear with Us, which stars Christy Romano, Mark Sullivan, Alex McKenna, Kevin Carolan, and Collin Smith, and features Alice Ripley.

Michelle Dowdy will present 'A Brass Act' at The Metropolitan Room on March 3rd. Her performance is an album release concert.

The New York-based composers' group, Random Access Music, presents the first Queens New Music Festival from today May 10 through May 13, 2012 at the Little Secret Theatre (Studio 104, 44-02 23rd Street, Long Island City, Queens). This 'trailblazing festival seeks to highlight and promote composers, musicians, and ensembles living and creating new music in the borough of Queens.'
