60 MINUTES Producer Michael Radutzky Named EP of Creative Development

Veteran 60 MINUTES Producer Michael Radutzky has been named Executive Producer of Creative Development, a new CBS News unit dedicated to finding innovative ways to create and distribute CBS News content. The announcement was made today by CBS News Chairman and 60 MINUTES Executive Producer Jeff Fager and CBS News President David Rhodes.

LINCOLN CENTER DIALOGUE Season Begins Today, 10/3

Providing an opportunity to hear key leaders discussing significant issues facing American society, Lincoln Center's spoken word series Lincoln Center Dialogue will begin its second season today, October 3rd in the David Rubenstein Atrium. These programs take place over breakfast, welcoming early risers and inviting audiences to discover Lincoln Center well before curtains go up. The three conversations, moderated by the president of Lincoln Center, Reynold Levy, will focus on the challenges of leadership in the university, museum, and public policy arenas. WNET, WLIW and NJ Network will again air the Dialogues (check local listings for date and time). Members of the live audience in the intimate venue will have the opportunity to ask questions of the speakers.

Margaret Morrison's HOME IN HER HEART, a story of bias, racism, and homophobia in 1939 London, will open at Stage Left Studio on October 16 and run through December 17.

I HATE F*CKING MEXICANS Makes U.S. Premiere at The Flea, 10/9

The Flea Theater announces the U.S. Premiere of I HATE f**kING MEXICANS by Luis Enrique Gutierrez Ortiz Monasterio "the enfant terrible of contemporary Mexican theater." Translated by Debbie Saivetz, Ana Graham, and Danya Taymor and directed by Ms. Taymor, a Flea Resident Director; the production will feature members of The Bats and The Riot Group's Adriano Shapman. Previews begin October 9, with opening night slated for October 18 at 9pm.

Playwright Erik Ehn, Author Daphne A. Brooks and Journalist Randy Gener To Speak On Panel In Washington, D.C., 9/22

On September 22, following force/collision's 8:00pm performance of the world premiere of Shape by Erik Ehn, there will be a talkback featuring the playwright (Maria Kizito, The Saint Plays), Daphne Brooks ("Bodies in Dissent: Spectacular Performances of Race and Freedom"), Randy Gener (American Theatre Magazine, Critical Stages) and John Moletress (Founding Director, force/collision). The discussion will begin approximately at 9:10pm in the Sprenger Theatre at Atlas Performing Arts Center located at 1333 H Street NE in Washington, D.C. The audience will have a chance to ask questions of the panelists regarding the production of Shape and their work. Robert Boyett was today made an Honorary Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in recognition of his invaluable service to British drama as both a philanthropist and a producer. British Ambassador, Sir Peter Westmacott, presented Mr. Boyett with the badge of the Order at an investiture ceremony at The British Embassy, Washington. Check out photos from the event below!

Artists Rep Honors Andrea Stolowitz with Folwer/Levin Prize

In early 2011, two longtime supporters of Artists Repertory Theatre approached Producing Artistic Director Allen Nause with a proposal to commission a new script to be produced and performed at Artists Rep. In January 2011, Artists Repertory Theatre invited playwrights from across the county to submit their ideas for the now-named Fowler/Levin Prize. Of the 14 playwrights who submitted proposals, Andrea Stolowitz's play concept was the unanimous choice by the artistic leadership at the theater."We are grateful to Stephanie Fowler and Irving Levin for supporting Artists Rep's longstanding commitment to new work with their tremendously generous gift," said Allen Nause, Producing Artistic Director. 'Andrea Stolowitz is an amazingly gifted playwright whose work I have long admired and I look forward to this new play with great excitement and anticipation!'
