Theatre Aspen will present its second annual one-person show festival, Solo Flights, as the third act of this year’s 38th summer season, launching next Wednesday, August 25 and running through Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the Hurst Theatre in Aspen, Colorado.

Today, TAPA Executive Director Jacoba Knaapen announced that the 2021 Dora Mavor Moore Ancillary Awards will go forward in celebration of the city’s performing arts community and its hard work and resiliency in the face of immense difficulties over this past pandemic season.

The 41st annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards are being held virtually tonight, June 29, at 7:30pm.

At an online media announcement - pre-taped in front of Meridian Hall with physically distanced protocols in place - streamed June 8 on the Dora Awards YouTube channel, the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced 243 nominations for the 41st annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards.

Born and raised in Rome, Roberto Campanella trained at the Scuola Italiana di Danza Contemporanea. In 1985, Roberto joined the Compagnia Italiana di Danza Contemporanea and later joined the prestigious Aterballetto. In 1993 he joined The National Ballet of Canada, where he was soon promoted to soloist and was cast in many classical and contemporary roles.

Cleveland Play House (CPH) is proud to announce the cast of the high-spirited, interactive musical comedy The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. BoucharDanse proudly presents HISTOIRE D'AMOUR, a dance theatre trio exploring the feeling of love through the ages. The show is directed by award-winning multidisciplinary artist Marie-Josee Chartier, performed by Sylvie Bouchard, Brendan Wyatt and Vincent Leblanc-Beaudoin, and is composed of vignettes created by top Canadian choreographers Julia Aplin, Susie Burpee, Louis-Martin Charest, Denise Fujiwara, Sylvie Bouchard and Louis Laberge-Cote. The production is part of the NextSteps Contemporary Dance Series, onstage from April 5 - 7, 2018 at the Harbourfront Centre Theatre, with performances in French and in English.
