NEXT WEEK, October 19-25, the 2020 ADG Virtual Festival will stream Week 2, a special tribute to choreographers PAUL SANASARDO, JANE DUDLEY AND LINDA TARNAY, honorees at American Dance Guild Festival 2011. Video footage each week will be live from 10am Monday to 11:59pm Sunday ET.

A landmark collaboration between Dance Theatre of Harlem and the Hopkins Center for the Arts kicks off in late June for the first of a three-summer residency.

 Dianne McIntyre has replaced Camille A. Brown as the choreographer for Lincoln Center Theater's current production of Intimate Apparel. Brown excited the production early on in the process due to scheduling conflicts.

The United States Artists (USA) announced today that dancer/ choreographer Dianne McIntyre is one of fifty recipients of their 2020 USA Fellow award. Each of the fifty recipients will receive a $50,000 cash award of unrestricted funds.

The Crossroads Theatre Company is presenting a stunning production of 'Paul Robeson,' written by Phillip Hayes Dean. The American Dance Festival (ADF) will award the 2019 Balasaraswati/Joy Anne Dewey Beinecke Endowed Chair for Distinguished Teaching to longtime Paul Taylor Dance Company rehearsal director Bettie de Jong. A ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 27, 2019 in Reynolds Industries Theater at the opening night performance of the Paul Taylor Dance Company.

Annenberg Center Live and NextMove Dance present the intenationally-acclaimed Dance Theatre of Harlem, Friday, March 1 (8 PM) and Saturday, March 2 (2 PM and 8 PM). Exploring the breadth and depth of artistry within American ballet, the Kennedy Center's Ballet Across America series returns May 28-June 2 for seven performances in the Opera House. This season's engagement features deeper looks at companies led by distinguished Artistic Directors Virginia Johnson and Lourdes Lopez with their respective companies, Dance Theatre of Harlem (DTH) and Miami City Ballet (MCB). Each company will present a full program while a one-night-only celebration on May 31 features a shared program that includes both companies in a world premiere Kennedy Center commission by renowned choreographer Pam Tanowitz.

Friday, October 12, 2018 kicked off the first of two weekends of Ailey's Choreography Unlocked Festival featuring an array of panel discussions, conversations, master classes and performances. All programs and events will take place at Ailey's home at The Joan Weill Center for Dance in New York City. As part of the “Ailey Ascending” 60th anniversary year-long celebration, it honors the pioneering legacy of Mr. Alvin Ailey himself and his spirit and belief that “dance came from the people and should always be delivered back to the people.”

Under the direction of Charles O. Anderson, Dorothy O'Shea Overbey and Gesel Mason, The University of Texas at Austin's award-winning dance company Dance Repertory Theatre returns to the stage in Fall For Dance, November 6-11 at the B. Iden Payne Theatre. An examination of embodiment and innovation through contemporary ballet, Fall For Dance features works by renowned guest artists, including Gregory Dolbashian and Sidra Bell. 

As part of the "Ailey Ascending" 60th Anniversary celebration, the Choreography Unlocked Festival of performance, conversation, and master classes will take place at Ailey's home across two weekends - October 12 - 14 & 26- 28. Building on the success of the New Directions Choreography Lab, created by Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Artistic Director Robert Battle in 2011, the festival will elevate The Joan Weill Center for Dance's role in the community as a hub for creating and presenting new work and fostering the next generation of choreographers.
