News will host a first-ever live global broadcast on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 28 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King's March on Washington and his iconic 'I Have a Dream' speech. This hybrid digital-television event will be anchored by George Stephanopoulos along with Dan Kloeffler from ABC News World Headquarters in New York beginning at 11:00 a.m., ET.

For the week of August 19, 2013 “ABC World News with Diane Sawyer” averaged 6.99 million Total Viewers and a 1.5 rating/6 share/1.74 million in Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research.

For the week of August 12, 2013 “ABC World News with Diane Sawyer” averaged 6.896 million Total Viewers and a 1.5 rating/6 share/1.774 million in Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. “World News” turned in Adult 25-54 gains compared to both the previous week (1.761 million on w/o 8/5/13) and the year-ago week (1.755 million on w/o 8/13/12). In fact, “World News” stood as the only evening newscast to build on its news demo audience year to year, as both the “CBS Evening News” (-15%) and “NBC “Nightly News” (-14%) posted double-digit losses.

For the month of July, the Yahoo!-ABC News Network maintained its position as the No. 1 source for news and information online.

For the week of August 5, 2013 “ABC World News with Diane Sawyer” averaged 7.07 million Total Viewers and a 1.5 rating/6 share/1.76 million in Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research.

In an exclusive network interview, Robert and Gladys Zimmerman talk to Barbara Walters about the polarizing trial and acquittal of their son, George Zimmerman, the demonstrations after the verdict and their son's future. This is their first network interview since Zimmerman was found not guilty for the murder of Trayvon Martin.
