The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will begin the three-month engagement at JOE'S PUB at The Public Theater on Thursday, January 16 at 9:30 PM with a celebration of Rock legend David Bowie. After a highly-successful season at 54 Below, the show is returning to its downtown roots this year. The January show will feature special guests Michael Musto, Molly Pope, Joseph Keckler, Bridget Barkan, Michael Cavadias and Raquel Cion.

Universal Pictures has released the final trailer for Shana Feste's romantic drama ENDLESS LOVE. The remake hits theaters on Valentine's Day, February 14th, 2014.

The Museum of the Moving Image's popular series See It Big! will turn its focus to the movie musical with a fourteen-film celebration of the genre, from January 24 through February 28, 2014. Musicals are, by their very nature, filled with spectacle. They are heightened forms of storytelling, in which the narrative is amplified by song and dance, where characters express their innermost feelings in the most extravagant ways imaginable. It is a genre that celebrates excess and stylization, and the best examples of the form can only be truly enjoyed… big!

Cabrillo Stage, the professional musical theatre company in residence at Cabrillo College, concludes their 32nd repertory season with the premiere of a re-imagined work, Lunch, playing today, January 3 through 19 at the Cabrillo Crocker Theater.

Multi-Grammy-winning producer, composer, keyboardist and vocalist Sergio Mendes and Emmy- and Grammy-nominated singer and percussionist Sheila E., joined by Brazilian dancers, will ring in the New Year at Walt Disney Concert Hall with two performances tonight, December 31, 2013, at 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

The next show will be today, December 18 at 9:30 PM. Justin Sayre and The Meeting*, known for a signature blend of outrageous comedy, politics, culture and everything in between, were named one of the Top 10 nightclub shows of 2011 by Time Out New York, received the 2012 Bistro Award for 'Comedy Artistry' and a 2011 MAC Award nomination for Best Male Comedy Performance.

The producers of Motown the Musical have announced that Valisia LeKae, a 2013 Tony Award nominee for her performance as Diana Ross, has withdrawn from the Broadway production at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, for medical reasons. LeKae confirmed her departure in a statement on her personal Facebook page, announcing that she had recently been diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

Broadway In Chicago is pleased to announce that individual tickets for MOTOWN THE MUSICAL, the hit Broadway musical that features music and lyrics from the legendary Motown catalogue and a book by Berry Gordy, go on-sale to the public starting this Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Crowned the biggest box office hit of the season by the New York Times, MOTOWN will launch its national tour at Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 West Randolph) from April 22 to July 13, 2014.
