The TAP CITY Festival week, celebrating its 22nd year, will return LIVE for the first time since the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic - in 2020 Tap City was virtual, and in 2021 hybrid.

The professional Centenary Stage Company (CSC) is accepting enrollment into their Dance Conservatory courses for the 2017 fall semester. With professional instructors and schedules fit for working adults and teens, these programs are suitable for amateurs and professionals. The Conservatory of Dance provides the community with affordable, high-quality dance classes and is designed to introduce dancers to professionals who are currently working as choreographers, dancers and educators in dance and theatre at a collegiate level. Classes will run from September 5 - December 18. 

Triple Threat Dance Showcase Set for SOPAC, 2/19

SOPAC will present an exciting and unique dance showcase featuring three different genres of dance; Modern, Tap, and one that fuses West African Dance with the more contemporary Modern style. The Triple Threat Dance Showcase features performances inspired by the African diaspora, a modern dance company that is renowned for creating emotionally-driven work with a bold athletic style, and the joy and infectious spirit of the uniquely American art form called tap. Umoja Dance Company, Freespace Dance, NJ TAP Dance Ensemble, and will perform their idiomatic talents in a rare night that features three strikingly different types of dance. "The One Legged Song and Dance Man is Back! After a sold out show back in February, Evan Ruggiero will return to 54 Below on August 14. Joining him for this night of music will be Broadway Veteran Jackie Burns (If/Then, Wicked, Hair), Olivia Polci (Foolerie, 54 Below Solo Show, Bergen PAC Soloist), and Kyle Wilder (Black Out w/ Savion Glover, New Jersey Tap Ensemble, JUBA Masters of Tap and Percussive Dance). Evan's band feature's long standing members Ray Carega, Justin Garcia, and Brendan Daily, and introducing Will Dougherty, Joe Gullace, Frank Scillieri, and Rich Cush. Not only will Evan sing his favorite rock and musical theatre songs, but he will be debuting some of his own songs from his new original musical he has been working on called "My Champagne Year."
