The 10-time Tony Award-winning Best Musical THE BAND'S VISIT will play its final performance on Broadway on Sunday, April 7, 2019.

Bay Area Musicals (Matthew McCoy, Founder & Artistic Director, and AeJay Mitchell, Managing Director) has announced the show titles for its upcoming fifth season, which will include four spectacular titles. The 2019-2020 seasonwill include the powerful 6-time Tony Award-winning GYPSY (November 9 - December 8, 2019), the hysterical 10-time Tony Award-nominated THE FULL MONTY (February 15 - March 15, 2020), the game-changing Tony Award-winning Best Musical A CHORUS LINE(April 11 - May 10, 2020) and Lin-Manuel Miranda's pre-HAMILTON career-making Tony Award-winning Best Musical IN THE HEIGHTS(July 11 - August 9, 2020). GYPSY and THE FULL MONTY will perform at San Francisco's Alcazar Theatre (650 Geary Street, San Francisco, CA 94103) and A CHORUS LINE and IN THE HEIGHTS will perform at San Francisco's Victoria Theatre (2961 16th Street, San Francisco, CA 94103). DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS is playing at Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center in Philadelphia from March 29 to April 21, 2019. 

Mischer Neurosciences Broadway at the Hobby Center announced the lineup of shows for its 2019-2020 Season today. With nine productions including one season option, the season includes a mixture of Blockbuster Tony Award-winners, acclaimed revivals, four market premieres and beloved all-time favorites.

On this day in 2015, Fish In the Dark, a new comedy by Seinfeld creator Larry David, celebrated its opening night on Broadway.

Tootsie is on its way to Broadway bringing a colorful cast of characters to life on stage. Tootsie will open on Broadway on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the Marquis Theatre (210 West 46th Street) in the heart of Times Square. Broadway preview performances will begin on Friday, March 29, 2019.

Atlantic Theater Company announces a one-week extension for the US premiere production of The Mother by Florian Zeller, translated by Christopher Hampton, and directed by Trip Cullman. The production, which opens on Monday, March 11th, will now play through Saturday, April 13th, 2019 Off-Broadway at the Linda Gross Theater (336 West 20th Street).

THE BAND'S VISIT, one of the most Tony Award -winning musicals in history, will launch its National Tour at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence, RI June 25 30, 2019.
