BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Emmy Award-winner and Grammy Award nominee Wayne Brady will take over the coveted role of 'Lola' in the Tony Award®-winning musical Kinky Boots at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) on November 21, 2015. Brady will succeed Broadway's original (and current) award-winning 'Lola,' Billy Porter. Porter has played over 800 performances in the role and won both a Tony Award and a Grammy Award for his work in the production. His final historic performance in Kinky Boots will be November 20, 2015.

Producers of the Broadway revival of A.R. Gurney's Sylvia recently announced that they are seeking a 'model' K-9 to be the real-life face of the dog played by Annaleigh Ashford. The selected dog will have its picture built into the set, and the photo will be revealed at the end of every performance during a scene where Sylvia's owner looks at a photo of her.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) just announced that Tony Award winner Michael McGrath (Sipos) will join previously announced stars, Laura Benanti (Amalia), Josh Radnor (Georg), Rene? Auberjonois (Maraczek), Gavin Creel (Kodaly) and Jane Krakowski (Ilona) in a new Broadway production of SHE LOVES ME, directed by Scott Ellis, choreographed by Warren Carlyle with musical direction by Paul Gemignani. On the Twentieth Century, our final musical revival of the 2014-2015 season, closed on Sunday, July 19 at the American Airlines Theatre. The critically acclaimed production played a total of 144 performances from its first preview on February 12.  Starring Kristin Chenoweth and Peter Gallagher, On the Twentieth Century came in with a roar and was greeted with rave reviews from publications such as The New York Times, Variety, and Daily News. Audiences thoroughly enjoyed this 'screwball comedy' that was 'performed with manic energy by a super cast toplined by charismatic stars' (Variety).
