If there is a special club in Hell exclusively for bad stage directors, Mr. Pountney has earned a lifetime membership.
The Israeli Opera Announces 2018 Programming

The new production of Puccini's TOSCA will be a reconstruction of the original production from Rome in 1900, conducted by the Israeli Opera's master-conductor - Maestro Daniel Oren, who is also conducting the production of Verdi's UN BALLO IN MASCHERA. Verdi's colourful opera - UN BALLO IN MASCHERA will be directed by world renowned Mical Znaniecki and conducted by Daniel Oren.

This autumn, Welsh National Opera return to Bristol Hippodrome with two Russian-themed operas which mark the centenary of the Russian Revolution. Performing from 15 - 18 November, the Company will bring its productions of Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin and Jana?ek's From the House of the Dead, based on the book by Dostoevsky to the city.
