Broadway Theatre Project announces comprehensive summer musical theatre arts education program. Creates New Festival to Include Students Parents; Underscores Commitment to the Theatre Arts Community

The festival will include performances by the faculty and students, as well as seminars by faculty members including Jed Bernstein and Dave Clemmons. Workshops taking place during the project will also be featured including directors such as Frank Wildhorn, David Loud and Christopher D'Amboise.

The Vineyard Theatre presents an invitation-only reading of its upcoming musical THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS -- with music and lyrics by Tony Award-winners John Kander and Fred Ebb (CABARET, CHICAGO, KISS OF THE SPIDERWOMAN) and a book by David Thompson -- featuring John Cullum (URINETOWN), Brandon Victor Dixon (THE COLOR PURPLE) and Colman Domingo (PASSING STRANGE) at The Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street) on Friday, June 26 at 3pm.

The YALE INSTITUTE FOR MUSIC THEATRE (Mark Brokaw, Artistic Director; Beth Morrison, Producer) announces the full creative teams and casting for the three original music theatre works receiving two-week workshops in New Haven, June 7-21.

The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle has announced its nominations and special awards for excellence in Los Angeles and Orange County theatre for the year 2008. The 40th Annual Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards ceremony will take place on Monday, March 16 at the El Portal Theatre, thanks to the generous donation of the El Portal's management. The theatre is located at 5269 Lankershim Blvd in North Hollywood. Tickets are $40; $5 off if purchased in advance via PayPal.
