Artistic Director Jeffrey Cass and Executive Director Julie Ann Kornak are proud to announce BrightSide Theatre's 2018-2019 Season - "Season Eight- Dreamers & Schemers" From a musical theatre favorite Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat complete with a full children's choir, to the laugh out loud comedy Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, to the musical farce Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, this season has something for everyone!

FAME is the second annual co-production between The Highwood Theatre in Silver Spring and Loiederman Middle School. Funded in part by a Wheaton Cultural Arts Grant from the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County, this project was specially designed for Loiederman as the performing arts magnet school of Montgomery County - the perfect chance to showcase talent from all artistic disciplines and backgrounds.

Conceived and developed by David De Silva of the original 'FAME' film and the subsequent musical, 'Talent Springs Eternal - Fame Forever' is a new musical that features the next generation of New York's famed High School of the Performing Arts in a developmental reading of a new musical starring Annie Golden (Orange Is the New Black), Justin Keyes (How To Succeed), and Q. Smith (Come From Away) with direction by Jeff Whiting (Bullets Over Broadway).

It began as an Academy Award-winning film, then an Emmy-winning TV series and then on to the stage as riveting musical theatre-all conceived and developed by David De Silva.

The Bijou Theatre in Bijou Square, Bridgeport, presents the musical "Fame," based on the 1980 film.  "Fame" is part of The Bijou's Summer Stock Series for students 14-22 years old, which debuted last year with "In the Heights."

Amas Musical Theatre's Donna Trinkoff (Artistic Producer) Rosetta LeNoire Musical Theatre Academy will present FAME: The Musical, based on the 1980 musical film conceived and developed by David De Silva, with a book by Jose Fernandez, lyrics by Jacques Levy, and music by Steve Margoshes (Title song 'Fame' by Dean Pitchford & Michael Gore). Directed by Christopher Scott and David Drake (Associate Director), choreography by Monica Johnson and musical direction by Trevor Bachman, the production will feature 29 members of 'The Teen Academy.' Fame Forever, the official sequel to the smash hit musical Fame, will receive its professional world premiere in a fully staged production at the Lyric Theatre in London's West End for one night only on Monday 8th September 2014 ahead of an anticipated 2015 / 2016 UK tour.

FAME FOREVER - Talent Springs Eternal, a mystical musical for all ages, has been in development for 7 years with 7 directors and 7 choreographers in 7 different amateur productions in both the United Kingdom and the United States. Now for the first time, it's receiving its first professional exposure with a Demo Cast recording performed by Broadway professionals. Recorded at Kilgore Sound in New York City under the direction of Rick Hip-Flores. The cast includes Justin Keyes, Emily Vasquez, Annie Golden, Sara Schmidt, Jared Joseph, Caesar Samayoa, Regina Le Vert, David Perlman, Amy Decker, Gabrielle Ruiz, Britney Coleman, Nicholas Rodriguez and Marshal Carolan.

According to the Stage, Bill Kenwright Limited is looking into transferring ten shows to the West End in 2014, including the UK tour of Fame and the Regent's Park Open Air production of The Sound of Music. Other musicals in the running include the Marti Pellow and Madalena Alberto-led touring production of Evita, and Cabaret, starring Will Young.

This Is Forever, a new modern ballet inspired by Mildred Cram's 1935 novella Forever, will receive its television premiere on November 30 and December 2, 2012 in advance of its world premiere production at The Joyce Theatre.
