New York Wine Events is pleased to announce its third summer season of Jazz in the Vines at Jamesport Vineyards located on the North Fork of Long Island. Andrew Lloyd Webber's 1988 blockbuster THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA is such a musical. Repeated viewings are commonplace in Western New York, with many having seen the original Toronto or New York production in addition to many of it's national tours.

Grammy-nominated DAVID BENOIT will lead the prestigious ASIA AMERICA YOUTH SYMPHONY through a varied program featuring the music from the films 'Pirates of the Caribbean' and 'Whiplash,' and works by Tchaikovsky, Bizet and original works by Benoit himself, Asia America Symphony Association announced today.

One evening. Two amazing artists! Jeff Kashiwa is one of the most compelling young saxophonists in contemporary jazz. Having established himself in the 1990's as one of the most diverse saxmen during his decade long tenure with The Rippingtons, Kashiwa's instincts led him to more dynamic endeavors through his solo career. It surprised many when Jeff left the group to venture out on his own, but he had things to say through his own music. Kashiwa now has nine CDs released under his own name and has continued to record as a guest artist with many other artists as well. In 2004, Kashiwa founded The Sax Pack, a trio of saxophone headliners, featuring himself, Steve Cole and Kim Waters. The group released two CDs together and charmed audiences with their Rat Pack style repartee' in tours across the U.S. and abroad. His newest CD, Let It Ride, features a host of the greatest musicians in the world of Contemporary Jazz, including Russ Freeman, David Benoit, Chuck Loeb and Tom Schuman of Spyro Gyra.

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic musical about the ghostly guest who resides in Box 5 of the Paris Opera House, makes its return to Columbus after a nearly four year absence and it spends a two sets at the Ohio Theatre (39 E. State Street in downtown Columbus).

Beginning December 19 at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis, MN, Quentin Oliver Lee will portray the man behind the mask, 'The Phantom.' He joins current cast members Eva Tavares as 'Christine Daa ,' Jordan Craig as 'Raoul,' Trista Moldovan as 'Carlotta Giudicelli,' David Benoit as 'Monsieur Firmin,' Edward Staudenmayer as 'Monsieur Andr ,' Kristie Dale Sanders as 'Madame Giry,' Phumzile Sojola as 'Ubaldo Piangi' and Emily Ramirez as 'Meg Giry.'

Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA is currently on North American tour and stops in Memphis November 29 December 10 at the Orpheum Theatre. Individual tickets will go on sale on Monday, September 25 at 10am.
