The Golden Icon Award of this year's Zurich Film Festival goes to Hugh Jackman. The ceremony will take place on September 28th at the cinema corso 1.

The 61st edition of the San Sebastian Festival will present its Donostia Award to one of today's best known film stars, Hugh Jackman. The actor will receive the Award on September 27 prior to the special screening of the latest work in which he plays the lead, Prisoners.

Critically acclaimed theatre company The Playwrights Realm presents the New York premiere of Lauren Yee's new play The Hatmaker's Wife, directed by recent OBIE Award winner Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812). The Hatmaker's Wife marks the first Playwrights Realm production at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street) in midtown Manhattan, following previous engagements in several downtown Off-Broadway venues. Sundance Institute today announced the participants for its annual Creative Producing Labs and Creative Producing Summit, both held the week of July 29 at the Sundance Resort in Sundance, Utah. The screening will be held Saturday, April 27, followed by a panel with Clint Eastwood moderated by director Darren Aronofsky. The new documentary, produced by Richard Schickel (historian and veteran Time Magazine critic), focuses on Eastwood's unique directorial style as seen through the eyes of many of his actors and producing partners. Interviewed are Martin Scorsese, Meryl Streep, Gene Hackman, Morgan Freeman, among others. The documentary explores how the five-time Academy Award-winning Eastwood has managed to be successful with the more than 40 films he has made with Warner Bros. in nearly as many years.
