In their newest sketch revue, 'The Shrimpshack Redemption,' the 22-year-old Asian-American comedy troupe has diligently chipped away through stereotypes and social norms to escape the 'Shrimpshack', and find their true selves.

Stage 773 announces applications are now open for The Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival's 17th anniversary. The nation's largest and most highly anticipated sketch comedy festival takes place January 11th through 21st, 2018 at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont. "SketchFest" continues to grow and evolve year after year, cementing the city's reputation as the comedy hub of the nation. The festival "whose laughs are right on track," says the Chicago Sun Times, features every form of sketch comedy imaginable, from perverted musical puppets to high-brow political satire.

Second City announces its 3rd Annual NBC Second City Break Out Comedy Festival, taking place in Chicago June 8-10, 2017. This year's festival includes a kick off night on Thursday, June 8th hosted by Ramon Rivas (The Half Hour with Comedy Central, MTV's Decoded). Danny Pudi (NBC's Powerless and Community) and special guest Parvesh Cheena (NBC's Outsourced) host on Friday, June 9th, and Second City alum and comic Chris Redd (Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping) will host on Saturday, June 10th.

In celebration of tomorrow's World Premiere of SMURFS THE LOST VILLAGE, the first-ever World Premiere of a film to be held in Culver City, the home of Sony Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation, the city of Culver City will be declared to be America's Official Smurfs Village, with a street renamed for the three-apple-high heroes. As part of the celebration, Sony Pictures Animation will make a donation to the Culver City Department of Parks and Recreation.
