Martha Wash has lent her powerful voice to this year's Carols For A Cure album, recording with the cast of Pricilla, Queen of the Desert on the track, 'Light It Up!' The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly will open the 2011-2012 Printing Partners Pops Series season with the world premiere of a new symphonic concert stage production titled Do You Hear The People Sing - The Dream Concert! featuring music from renowned Broadway lyricist Alain Boublil and Broadway composer Claude-Michel Schönberg, the creators of the hit musicals Les Misérables and Miss Saigon, in concerts Friday and Saturday, October 7 and 8, at the Hilbert Circle Theatre and Sunday, October 9, at The Palladium at the Center for Performing Arts in Carmel, Ind.

Several special musical recordings will highlight the 2011 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Vol. 13. Daniel Radcliffe joins the cast of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in singing for the 2011 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, the annual holiday CD benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA). He sings 'A Christmas Carol,' by humorist and composer Tom Lehrer.

Today, September 9, The Broadway League presented a special 9/11 Tribute in Duffy Square, for which the Broadway community united for an encore rendition 'New York, New York' in honor of the iconic performance that took place one decade ago when Broadway performers helped inspire New Yorkers to return to normalcy with a landmark outdoor sing-a-long to the same tune. The 2011 edition of the annual Carols for a Cure album is now in the works. Produced by Rock-it Science Records and currently in it's thirteenth year, purchase of the album benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This highly anticipated annual holiday release features casts from the current Broadway line-up of shows performing new and traditional holiday music. Broadway's Carols for a Cure offers a 'snapshot' of each season, as the casts and orchestras from each show on Broadway perform their own holiday track. Yesterday, beloved tenor Daniel Rodriguez stopped by the recording studio to contribute to the album and BroadwayWorld was there for the photo op.
