Sarasota Opera has announced the lineup for the 2023 Summer Classic Movies at the Opera House. The Classic Movies at the Opera House series featuring many beloved movies will open on Friday, May 12th at 7:30 pm with 2001: A Space Odyssey. Throughout the summer and into the fall, featured movies will include films ranging from the 1930's to the 1990's. Tickets will be $12 and will go on sale starting on Wednesday, May 3. Additional movie titles are detailed below.

Rising country artist Curtis Braly recently announced the release of his new single included in the original motion picture soundtrack of ‘Slapface’ the movie. Slapface will be released on AMC Networks’ Shudder, the only premium streaming service for both casual and super fans of thrillers, suspense, and horror.

'Clueless,' the hit 1995 comedy, will be remade by Paramount Pictures, according to Variety. The studio is developing a remake of film with Tracy Oliver, the writer of “Girls Trip,” producing.

The Carney Awards announced today that Academy award nominated actor, Harrison Ford, will present this year's Chairman's Lifetime Achievement Award, to character actor, M. Emmett Walsh, during the 4th Annual Carney Awards, happening Sunday, October 28, 2018 at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica, CA.

The Carney Awards announced a broadcast partnership with PIX11 in New York, the home of The Honeymooners for past 60 years.   The Carney Awards, named for the late, great Oscar and six-time Emmy Award-winning actor Art Carney, star of The Honeymooners, recognize outstanding achievements in character acting and will honor Joe Morton, Jessica Walter, Joe Pantoliano, M. Emmet Walsh, James Cromwell and Bruce Greenwood.  Comedian Patton Oswalt will host the evening's program which will be recorded at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica, CA on Sunday, October 28, 2018.   The 2-hour telecast will air on PIX11, Tribune Broadcasting's New York flagship television station, on Saturday, November 24, 2018 (8:00 PM – 10:00 PM).
