Calling all furry four legged stars! Does your friendly, charismatic dog have what it takes to shine on CBC's new live reality competition series, OVER THE RAINBOW? The nationwide auditions for Dorothy are underway and the search for Toto will be held in Toronto today, June 9th at Woofstock, North America's largest festival for dogs. Taking place in the St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood, registration will be from 9:00 am to noon, followed by live auditions throughout the day.

Richard Rose Receives TAPA's 2012 Barbara Hamilton Memorial Award

Barbara Hamilton Memorial Award was inaugurated in 1996 and is given to a Canadian artist who demonstrates excellence in the performing arts and is dedicated to advocating and being an ambassador for the arts in Canada. The Barbara Hamilton Memorial Award is sponsored by the City of Toronto, and the recipient is awarded with a scroll and a cheque for $1,000 from the City.

The Palace Theatre opened its doors 85 years ago this June 2nd under the direction of Stamford resident Mary Vuono who owned and operated the theater as a vaudeville and motion-picture house in 1927. The essence of vaudeville was variety, and in that spirit, The Palace Theatre will bring a wide assortment of offerings to the Harman Stage for its 85th anniversary season.

ABC Announces Summer Programming Schedule

ABC has unveiled its summer schedule, featuring the return of Rookie Blue as the only scripted show. The second seasons of reality series Secret Millionaire and Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition and another installment of summer staples Wipeout and Bachelorette will also air during the summer months. ABC's new programming offerings this summer include the previously announced singing competition Duets, the improv comedy series Trust Us With Your Life and the mystery docu-series Final Witness.

The performance is coming to the The VETS on Friday, March 30 at 8P. Ticketsare available at the PPAC/The VETS Box Office, online at www.thevetsri.com and by phone at (401) 421-ARTS (2787). Tickets are $52 - $32; all ticket prices include a $2 per ticket restoration charge.
