The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles® (BAFTA Los Angeles) will honor Academy Award® winning writer/director John Lasseter with the Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Filmed Entertainment, and BAFTA winning director David Yates with the John Schlesinger Britannia Award for Excellence in Directing at the 2011 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards on Wednesday, November 30 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

One of the nicest aspects of seeing a play in The Roundabout's beautiful American Airlines Theatre is that it has fine acoustics. Little, if any, amplification is used when drama or comedies are staged at that venue do nothing stands between the actors' voices and the audience's ears. Such is the case with the charming revival of Oscar Wilde's THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST which will be presented there until June 26th.

J M Synge's comic masterpiece and one of Ireland's greatest plays, The Playboy of the Western World will preview at The Old Vic from 17 September 2011. Directed by John Crowley, this major new production will star Robert Sheehan as Christy Mahon, Ruth Negga as Pegeen Mike and Niamh Cusack as Widow Quinn.

The new London cast for the global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA! at the Prince of Wales Theatre will start performances on Monday 13 June. The cast will be headed by Sally Ann Triplett as ‘Donna Sheridan', with Joanna Monro as ‘Rosie' and Kim Ismay as ‘Tanya'. William Tapley will play ‘Sam Carmichael', Oliver Senton ‘Harry Bright', Mark Gillis ‘Bill Austin', Dani De Waal ‘Sophie Sheridan', Craig Fletcher ‘Sky', Hannah Fairclough ‘Ali', Rachel Sargent ‘Lisa', Warren Sollars ‘Pepper' and Alex Jessop ‘Eddie'. At certain performances, the role of ‘Donna Sheridan' will be played by Melissa Jacques.

VH1 announced today that it will air the 17th annual 'Critics' Choice Movie Awards' on Thursday, January 12 at 9:00 PM ET/PT. This year marks the first year that the show will be held on a Thursday and the fifth straight year the network will televise the event. In addition, Den of Thieves will produce for the second year with Jesse Ignjatovic serving as executive produce for the third year.
