Playwrights Horizons announced today that stage and screen star Jesse Tyler Ferguson ('Modern Family,' Fully Committed, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) has joined the cast of LOG CABIN, the world premiere of a new play by Pulitzer Prize finalist Jordan Harrison (Marjorie Prime, Maple and Vine, Doris to Darlene at Playwrights; 'Orange Is the New Black').
SEVEN HOMELESS MAMMOTHS WANDER NEW ENGLAND Opens at DePaul University

The Theatre School at DePaul University is pleased to present Seven Homeless Mammoths Wander New England, written by Madeleine George and directed by April Cleveland (MFA Directing candidate, Class of 2019) in the Sondra & Denis Healy Theatre. The production premieres on Friday, October 20, and runs through Sunday, October 29, 2017. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Previews are on October 18 and 19 at 7:30 PM. Post-show discussions will follow the performances on October 22 (2:00 PM) and October 26 (7:30 PM).

Stratford's Square One Theatre Company concluded its twenty-seventh anniversary season recently with the annual presentation of its 2017 Subscriber Awards. The recipients were selected by the theatre's nearly 1,000 subscribers who voted for performers in various acting categories from the company's three-play 2016-17 season. This was the second year for the theatre's new space onstage at Stratford Academy.

Marin Theatre Company is honored to co-produce a staged reading of Jeff Cohen's The Soap Myth with the Marin Academy today, February 21 at 7:00pm starring the incomparable Ed Asner and Tovah Feldshuh. After last year's successful production at MTC, Marin Academy approached MTC about bringing Mr. Cohen's story to a wider community, most importantly the Academy's student body. The organizations are thrilled to join forces in re-staging this work, with playwright Cohen, Mr. Asner and Ms. Feldshuh on board.
