AVENUE Q Puppets to Take Part in Tonys Times Square Simulcast, 6/10

The 2012 66th Annual Tony Awards will be simulcast live to Times Square on Sunday, June 10th. The event, sponsored by Official Beauty Partner of the Tony Awards, Nexxus Salon Hair Care, will be hosted by 2004 Tony Award winning musical, AVENUE Q puppets Rod and Lucy. The Tony Awards, in partnership with the Times Square Alliance and Clear Channel Spectacolor will air the Tony Awards Red Carpet courtesy of NY1 and the entirety of the Tony Awards show, including the Creative Arts Awards, on Clear Channel's SpectacolorHD screen in Times Square on Sunday, June 10th, from 6:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

MTC to Pay Tribute to Artistic Director Lynne Meadow, 6/18

Manhattan Theatre Club will celebrate Artistic Director Lynne Meadow's 40th anniversary as the visionary and artistic leader of the organization with a special tribute on Monday, June 18. The event will begin at 6:30 PM with a VIP cocktail reception, followed by a 7:30 tribute event at the Samuel J. Friedman (261 West 47th Street). Immediately after the Friedman tribute event, a party will follow at Copacabana (268 West 47th Street).

The 20th Anniversary season of New York City Center's Tony Award-winning Encores! series will open on January 30, 2013 with Fiorello!, the show that launched the series in 1994. The season will continue with It's a Bird...It's a Plane...It's Superman, followed by On Your Toes. A Gala Encores! at 20 Celebration on November 12, 2012 will star Tony Award nominees and Encores! alumni Rauil Esparza and Kelli O'Hara.

TBS has given the greenlight to two new comedy series as the network undergoes an expansion of its original series lineup. TBS has ordered six episodes of DEON COLE'S BLACK BOX, starring CONAN writer and performer Deon Cole. The network has also ordered nine episodes of WHO GETS THE LAST LAUGH?, a new series from Punk'd co-creators Jason Goldberg and Ashton Kutcher.

TBS Show SULLIVAN & SON Begins Production, Airs 7/19

The bar is now open. Production started this week in Los Angeles on TBS's new original sitcom Sullivan & Son, starring popular comedian Steve Byrne. Set in a popular pub in a working-class Pittsburgh neighborhood, Sullivan & Son is executive-produced by Vince Vaughn (The Break-Up), Peter Billingsley (Iron Man) and show-runner Rob Long (Cheers). The series is slated to premiere on TBS Thursday, July 19, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT).

Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch to Perform at Bemelmans at The Carlyle, Sundays in June

Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch will be performing swinging standards at the legendary Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle Hotel every Sunday in June from 9pm - 12 midnight. The two performers, who have performed extensively on their own, gained national exposure together as the host and musical director of the open mic Cast Party, which celebrates talent every Monday at Birdland in NYC, and tours nationally. Caruso and Stritch will be joined by bassist Steve Doyle.
