Primary Stages' THE TRIBUTE ARTIST with Charles Busch Opens this Sunday

Primary Stages, Daryl Roth, and Ted Snowdon in association with Jamie deRoy present The Tribute Artist, a new world premiere comedy written by and starring Tony-nominee Charles Busch (The Divine Sister, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, Olive and the Bitter Herbs). Now playing through March 16 at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters, opening night is Sunday, February 9 at 6pm. Directed by Busch's long-time collaborator Carl Andress (The Divine Sister, The Third Story), the cast will also feature Mary Bacon (Harrison, TX...; Giant), Cynthia Harris (Lost in Yonkers, 'Mad About You'), Julie Halston (Olive and the Bitter Herbs, Anything Goes) Keira Keeley (Angels in America, The Glass Menagerie), and Jonathan Walker (The Assembled Parties, The Divine Sister).

NY's obsession with the GAZILLION BUBBLE SHOW began in February 2007, where its initial nine performance run turned into seven years (this month) at NY's New World Stages. A fun-filled family affair, the GAZILLION BUBBLE SHOW amazes audiences with mind blowing bubble magic, music and a laser light show, making it the most 'unbubblievable' show in the world for the past seven years! Come join the celebration on Saturday, February 15 at the 4:30PM performance, where all seven year olds can get one FREE* ticket to see the Gazillion Bubble Show. Seven year old youngsters must claim their FREE* ticket in person at the New World Stages Box Office on that day only, while supplies last. Bubble Fans who aren't able to make it to the 4:30 pm performance on February 15th can visit the show's Facebook page to find out how they can receive a special invite to a later performance.

Artists Rep will present the Northwest premiere of The Motherf**ker With the Hat by Stephen Aldy Guirgis, from February 25 through March 30. This hard-hitting, comedic play premiered on Broadway in 2011 starring Chris Rock, making his Broadway debut as Ralph D. and was directed by Anna D. Shapiro. Kevin Jones will direct Artists Rep's production starring Victor Mack as Ralph D. The Broadway production was nominated for six Tony Awards, including Outstanding New Broadway Play, and is currently one of the Top 10 most produced plays in the country.

Sundance Institute announced today the members of the six juries awarding prizes at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, January 16-26 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah. Short Film Awards will be announced at a ceremony on January 21 at Park City's Jupiter Bowl. Feature film awards will be announced at a separate ceremony on January 25 in Park City, hosted by husband-and-wife duo Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally and livestreamed at www.sundance.org/live. Offerman headlines the film Nick Offerman: American Ham in the Festival's Premieres section. Mullally voices a character in the English-language version of Ernest and Celestine, which will have its world premiere in the Festival's new Sundance Kids section.
