Jason Gotay to Swing into SPIDER-MAN TURN OFF THE DARK as 'Peter Parker' Alternate in October

Jason Gotay, who recently appeared on Broadway as "Randall" in Bring It On: The Musical, will join the company of SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark as the Peter Parker / Spider-Man Alternate. Gotay will play select performances at the Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street) with a varied week to week performance schedule beginning at the end of October. Matt Wilkas will continue to perform the role of the alternate in the interim.

Hosted by Sherri Shepherd (The View) and taped in front of a live studio audience in New York City, the series features stand-up comedians putting a spotlight on the chaos and hilarity that comes with being a parent. Previous NickMom Night Out hosts include Tisha Campbell-Martin (LA), Judy Gold (NY), Caroline Rhea (Orlando, Fla.), and Bonnie McFarlane (Chicago). NickMom Night Out is executive produced by Bob Mittenthal (Double Dare), co-executive produced by Brian Baldinger and Jim Burns (co-creator MTV Unplugged) serves as consulting producer. NickMom Night Out season two launches with a premiere week (Mon, Oct. 14 - Saturday, Oct. 19, at 10 p.m.), followed by weekly premieres every Saturday Oct. 26 - Nov. 30, at 10 p.m.

FXX, the new entertainment basic cable channel from FX Networks, got off to a good start yesterday (Sept. 2) with Primetime and Total Day deliveries that bettered prior benchmarks by Fox Soccer Channel very wide margins across the board (note: FXX replaced Fox Soccer Channel on most cable and satellite systems). The network was paced by a Parks & Recreation Labor Day Marathon from 7:00 AM-midnight.

This fall's line-up features many of the best known names in comedy today, including Greg Proops, Dave Foley, Tony Rock, Moshe Kasher, Carmen Lynch, Ian Bagg, Maz Jobrani, D.L. Hughley, Christopher Titus, Kyle Kinane and Loni Love. Each show includes a feature stand-up comic and a local emcee that hosts the evening.
