Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) is pleased to announce that an exciting lineup of prominent Broadway producers and general managers has joined the Dollars and Sense panels to follow readings of the winning selections of the 2008 TRU Voices New Musicals Series. The series is unique because it develops new producers as well as new musicals, and in keeping true to its mission, the TRU talkbacks focus on producer concerns regarding the development of these works beyond the series. The panels will follow readings of the works on Mondays, December 8 and 15, 2008 at 7:30pm at the Players Theatre, located at 115 MacDougal Street, NYC.

The event will honor producing maverick Ken Davenport and Arlene Romoff, advocate for open captioning for live theater, at a luncheon benefit on Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Caroline's on Broadway. The event, themed 'Believe ... in the possibilities of theater,' begins with a cocktail hour reception at noon followed by a luncheon at 1pm, with entertainment and an awards ceremony to start at 1:45 and a Silent Auction throughout the afternoon.

Theater Resources Unlimited is pleased to announce the sixth annual TRU Love Benefit honoring producer and friend, Cheryl Wiesenfeld. On Sunday afternoon, November 11 from 1-4PM at the legendary Sardi's, Wiesenfeld will be given the TRU Spirit of Theater Award, which TRU gives each year to a person in the performing arts community who has demonstrated noteworthy generosity and helped nurture young producers.

By popular demand, Primary Stages, in association with the Perry Street Theatre, Patrick Blake, Cheryl Wiesenfeld, and Richard Jordan, and under the auspices of the U.S. State Department, have announced that the hit award-winning play, In The Continuum, written and performed by Danai Gurira and Nikkole Salter, with direction by Robert O'Hara, returns to South Africa in July 2007 following an acclaimed international and U.S. tour that launched in Harare, Zimbabwe in April 2006

DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS will play its final performance at Broadway's Imperial Theatre on Sunday, September 3, 2006 at 3:00 pm. The show began previews on Monday, January 31, 2005, and played 36 preview performances. It will have played 666 regular performances since its opening night Thursday, March 3, 2005.
