Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman, stars of the upcoming Broadway production of A STEADY RAIN, surprised many when they showed up unannounced at Chicago's Cook County courthouse yesterday. The megastars were in town to perform background research for their new Broadway play, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that A STEADY RAIN scribe, Keith Huff has sold the film rights to James Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. WIlson, who are also among the producers of the play.

Variety is reporting that A STEADY RAIN starring Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman is already looking like a winner. The trade paper reports that industry insiders are 'buzzing' about the whopping $3 million in advance sales solely from the initial pre-sale offer for American Express cardholders. Tickets for the general public are not available until July 25th. The Amex pre-sale launched Saturday.
