The January 20th broadcast of "Theater Talk," the PBS chat show that features interviews with top theatre practitioners, welcomes the new Off-Broadway hit play In The Continuum, written and performed by Danai Gurira and Nikkole Salter, currently in performance through February 18 at the Perry Street Theatre (31 Perry Street).

Presented by Primary Stages in association with the Perry Street Theatre (Martin Platt & David Elliott, Co-Directors), Patrick Blake and Cheryl Wiesenfeld, and with direction by Robert O'Hara, In The Continuum recently transferred to the Perry Street Theatre after concluding a critically-acclaimed sold-out world premiere engagement at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theatres. Performances resumed at the Perry Street Theatre November 18, 2005 and officially re-opened on December 1,

Named one of the Best Plays of 2005 by The New York Times (Top 4), New York Magazine (Top 3), Newsday (Top 10) and The Newark Star-Ledger (Top 10), In The Continuum "dramatizes the devastating problem of AIDS among African and African-American women a timely topic and an egregiously overlooked problem that is only now getting the attention of the international media. Living worlds apart in South Central, L.A. and Harare, Zimbabwe, two young women experience a kaleidoscopic weekend of darkly comic life changing revelations. With the two playwright/actors playing dozens of roles, In The Continuum envelopes the audience in its story of parallel denials and self-discoveries," state press notes.

Hosted by New York Post theatre columnist Michael Riedel and producer Susan Haskins, "Theater Talk" airs late Friday nights at 1 AM on WNET/Thirteen. The program will re-air Jan. 23rd at 5 AM. CUNY-TV (Channel 75) will also offer rebroadcasts of the program on
