Celebrating its 6th year bringing live theatre to cinema audiences around the world, NATIONAL THEATRE LIVE is pleased to announce an international broadcast of Academy Award nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) in the title role of Everyman, adapted by Carol Ann Duffy and directed by Rufus Norris, live from The National Theatre of Great Britain's Olivier Theatre tonight, July 16, 2015.

The best seats for New York and London's stage productions may just be at The Ridgefield Playhouse when stunning shows are broadcast in HD. From London's National Theatre on Sunday, February 15, at 3:30 p.m. comes family entertainment -- Treasure Island, which is suitable for 10+ years. From the Met on Sunday, February 22, at 12 p.m., Tchaikovsky's Iolanta and Bartok's Bluebeard's Castle will enchant. Skylight starring Carey Mulligan and Stephen Daldry, will be screened on Wednesday, February 25, at 6 p.m. Golden Globe winner and Academy Award nominee James Franco and Tony Award nominee Chris O'Dowd star in the hit Broadway production Of Mice And Men, Sunday, March 8, at 12 noon, filmed on stage by National Theatre Live.

The 2015 Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting opens its 10th anniversary competition today. Writers of all levels of experience are invited to enter plays, which must be original, unperformed and unproduced. The winner will receive a prize of £16,000 and a full production of their play at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester. The competition is a unique partnership between the Royal Exchange Theatre and property company Bruntwood.

The best of live theatre can now be experienced on the big screen of The Ware Center. The theatrical productions Of Mice and Men on Broadway and London's Treasure Island kick off the partnership with the National Theatre's groundbreaking project National Theatre Live, which films and broadcasts live stage productions in filmic quality and detail. The only place in Lancaster County showing these productions is Steinman Hall at The Ware Center, located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster. More films will be added in the Spring.
