Back by popular demand The Hip Hop Nutcracker returns to DPAC on Friday November 24, 2017 for Two Shows.  A holiday mash-up for the entire family, The Hip Hop Nutcracker, a contemporary re-imagination of Tchaikovsky's timeless music, sets out on a third national tour following the success of two previous sold-out tours including the sold out show at DPAC in 2016.

Written by Stages' Founding Artistic Director Ted Swindley, and directed by Stages' current Artistic Director Kenn McLaughlin, the internationally-acclaimed musical is based on the true story of an unlikely friendship between the beloved country singer and a Houston fan.

For the first time ever, dance superstars and online sensations WilldaBeast ("So You Think You Can Dance" choreographer; 2.6 million followers), Nia Sioux ("Dance Moms"; 5.8 million followers), Kenneth San Jose (685K followers), and Janelle Ginestra (587K followers) will join forces and hit the road in a brand new live dance show #FOLLOWME. MCC Theater has announced the extension by popular demand of The End of Longing, a new play written by and starring Matthew Perry in his NYC playwriting and stage acting debuts.

TWILIGHT SONG, the final play by Kevin Elyot, writer of the classic comedy My Night with Reg, will receive its world premiere at Park Theatre from 12 July - 12 August, with a press night on 17 July.

First off, Dear Readers, let me explain that you will see no singing Ice Princesses or wacky snowmen in this show. This particular play called "Frozen", currently playing at ArtsWest, is about as far away from the Disney movie as it could be considering it deals with serial killers. And while the performances are quite powerful and it's a very interesting subject, at times it feels like a lecture on serial killers and other times a drama with some superfluous storylines.
