The supernatural power of love is taking Asia by storm as the Broadway and West End musical GHOST THE MUSICAL, adapted from the Academy Award-winning film, starts rehearsals in London next week.

GHOST: THE MUSICAL is at The Media Theatre during the month of March. Based on the extremely popular film from 1990 which had fans swooning over Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore (and an Oscar winning performance from Whoopi Goldberg), it's as romantic as a musical can be.

GHOST THE MUSICAL is a deeply emotional, deeply spiritual piece of theatre, and its regional premiere production at Hale Centre Theatre in West Valley is no exception, despite its flaws. The story is engaging and incredibly moving, and the music is breathtakingly beautiful.

Theatrical Rights Worldwide wanted a new version of GHOST: THE MUSICAL for regional theatres. Director Marc Robin's initial publicly-presented revisions reveal an entirely new face of Bruce Joel Rubin's stage version of his beloved film. It's spare, clean, and shows signs of major improvement to a flawed musical.

Based on the 1987 film of the same name, Dirty Dancing tells the classic coming of age story documenting a teenage girl's relationship with a dance instructor whom she encountered during her family's summer vacation.

On the surface, GHOST, the ultra-romantic 1990 Oscar-nominated box office hit, seems every bit the perfect motion picture to be repurposed into a flashy stage musical. Unfortunately, the musical that eventually emerged (now playing at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts through August 10) is a chaotic, schizophrenic melange of random adult contemporary pop rock songs intermixed with an amped-up mystical mystery where the swoon-worthy aspects of the original gets diluted in favor of dazzling effects and abstract dance numbers. Why water down the romance?

The supernatural power of love is taking Hartford by storm as the new Broadway and West End musical GHOST THE MUSICAL, adapted from the Academy Award-winning film, opens at The Bushnell's Mortensen Hall today, June 10 and runs through June 15. GHOST THE MUSICAL is the final show of the 2013-2014 Bushnell Broadway Series co-sponsored by Travelers and Webster Bank.

Das English Theatre Frankfurt hat sein Spielzeitprogramm fur 2014/2015 veroffentlicht und wartet im Bereich Musical mit einer Überraschung auf. Nach dem Musicalerfolg mit „Saturday Night Fever" in der aktuellen Spielzeit, das uber 41.000 Besucher ins englischsprachige Theater lockte und somit in 138 Vorstellungen eine Auslastung von 99 Prozent erzielte, ist mit „Ghost" dem English Theatre ein weiterer Coup gelungen.
