The supernatural power of love is taking Hartford by storm as the new Broadway and West End musical GHOST THE MUSICAL, adapted from the Academy Award-winning film, opens at The Bushnell's Mortensen Hall on June 10 and runs through June 15. GHOST THE MUSICAL is the final show of the 2013-2014 Bushnell Broadway Series co-sponsored by Travelers and Webster Bank.

GHOST THE MUSICAL features an original pop score from multiple Grammy Award-winners Dave Stewart (one half of the 80s pop duo the Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard (co-writer with Alanis Morissette on the multi-platinum album Jagged Little Pill, among many other notable credits and collaborations). It is adapted from the hit film by its Academy Award-winning screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin (Ghost, Jacob's Ladder, The Time Traveler's Wife). Illusions are created by famous stage and film illusionist Paul Kieve (Hugo, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Matilda the Musical, Pippin). Bruce Joel Rubin wrote Ghost almost 25 years ago. Since then, it has been adapted as a musical with the help of Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, who worked on the music and lyrics. When Ghost hit the silver screen back in 1990, Rubin never thought it would stand the test of time, let alone become a musical. Because of its unexpected success, Rubin has a few words he wanted to share.

Leading musical theatre licensor Theatrical Rights Worldwide (TRW), announces exclusive representation for stock and amateur rights for GHOST THE MUSICAL.
