Under the leadership of Artistic Director Sarah Benson and Executive Director Cynthia Flowers, Soho Rep. has continually produced work by bold artists who harness the intimate power of the organization's own 73-seat black box theater, as well as other spaces, to create transformative experiences. Soho Rep.'s 2015-16 season, announced today, comprises two more ambitious new works-both characterized by irreverent humor, wild theatricality, and extraordinarily inventive language-and Write with Us, a series of open-to-the-public writing workshops led by acclaimed, Soho Rep.-produced playwrights.

Theater for the New City's Dream Up Festival 2015 presents Daddy's Boy, a world premiere play written by Cristian Avila where the wrestling ring becomes a battleground sexuality, family and identity. Avila directs a cast of eight, including David Conrad Brouillard, Julia Gyory, Aya Esther Hayashi, Jonathan Palmiotti, Christopher Staley*, Kyle Stockburger, Rachel Wharton, and Nick Zale. Six performances will be staged at Theater for the New City, 155 First Avenue (bet. 9th and 10th Streets), New York, NY 10003 from August 30-September 6, 2015. *Member, Actors' Equity Association. On the heels of Comedy Central's 'Bridget Everett: Gynecological Wonder' comedy special, which aired Saturday July 11, 2015, featuring the dynamic super group The Tender Moments (Adam Horovitz-bass, Carmine Covelli-drums, Matt Ray-keys, Mike Jackson-guitar), People Are Detectives brings The Tender Moments' triple-threat dancer/drummer/actor Carmine Covelli out from behind the drum kit and in front of the camera lens. This season, Covelli and his co-star, Neal Medlyn, will release one episode a week, every Thursday, for the 8-episode season. The premiere episode entitled 'Horse Porn' will be out today, July 16th.
