Fathom Events will bring beloved entertainer Luciano Pavarotti's story to movie theaters across the country on June 4 with a screening event designed to bring the life and performances of one of the great operatic voices to the masses. This exclusive screening will give audiences the first chance to experience the new documentary film 'Pavarotti.' From his earliest beginnings to the very last days of his life, the Ron Howard-directed film follows the renowned singer over the course of his prolific career, revealing previously unknown details about the legendary tenor; and harnessing the incredible sounds and music from the man credited for bringing an 'elite art form to the masses.' The June 4 event, which is the lead-up to the film's North American theatrical release on June 7, includes a special introduction from Howard, in which he speaks to his unique role as director and personal connection to the project.

HBO announced the eight writers selected, out of over 3,000 submissions, to participate in the 2019 HBOAccess Writing Fellowship. The prestigious 8 month program offers master classes and ongoing mentorship with an HBO executive as writers develop a pilot script for HBO. 

 Paramount Network is expanding its popular Ink Master franchise across platforms, with a two-season renewal of the highly-rated hit original tattoo-competition series and an order for a new spinoff series, Ink Master: Grudge Match. In addition, Paramount Network has launched a stand-alone Ink Master channel on YouTube, which will be the new home for all Ink Master video content.

Paramount Network is expanding its Jon Taffer-led 'Rescue' franchise with Marriage Rescue, a new original non-scripted series following Taffer as he helps couples whose relationships are on the brink of failure. The six one-hour episode series, which released its official trailer today, premieres Sunday, June 2 at 10pm ET/PT. Additionally, Paramount Network ordered a 12 episode seventh season of the long-running hit series Bar Rescue, with new episodes of season six currently airing on Sundays at 10pm ET/PT. Both Marriage Rescue and Bar Rescue are produced by 3 Ball Entertainment.

FOX has renewed the hit drama EMPIRE for a sixth season, it was announced today by Michael Thorn, President, Entertainment for FOX Entertainment.

Paramount Network today ordered 10 one-hour episodes of 68 Whiskey, a new, scripted comedic drama series from Imagine Television Studios and CBS Television Studios. Oscar(R)-winner Brian Grazer will serve as an executive producer along with Oscar(R)-winner Ron Howard, Imagine Television Group Chairman Francie Calfo (Empire, Genius), Imagine Television President Samie Kim Falvey and Emmy(R)-nominated Roberto Benabib (Weeds, The Brink, Ally McBeal), who is also set to write. Zion Rubin, the creator of the Israeli television series Charlie Golf One, from which 68 Whiskey has been adapted, will also executive produce, along with Efrat Shmaya Dror (United Studios of Israel) and Danna Stern (yes Studios).

The series will examine how the roles of women have changed, but how their reaction to betrayal... has not. WHY WOMEN KILL is produced by Imagine Television Studios and CBS Television Studios.

CBS Films is in final talks to acquire North American rights to the Ron Howard- directed Pavarotti, according to Deadline. The feature documentary chronicles the life of the iconic tenor Luciano Pavarotti. 

UPROXX, one of the world's largest digital media and content companies, today announced entertainment industry heavyweight Charlie Corwin as the first appointment to its new advisory board. Corwin's primary focus will be helping steer UPROXX's expansion into television and film. The Corwin announcement comes on the heels of UPROXX's acquisition by Warner Music Group (WMG).
