TriArts Sharon Playhouse, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Simpkins and Managing Director Justin Ball, celebrates its 25thAnniversary Season with the award-winning musicals Les Miserables and Falsettos, along with Disney's The Little Mermaid, on the Mainstage. Mitch Albom's Tuesdays with Morrie and the new musical Nine Wives (by Douglas J. Cohen and Dan Elish) will play Stage 2 in the Bok Gallery. The Youth Theatre will present the Tony-winning Spring Awakening.

Despite a torrential rainstorm midway through the performance, the 4th Annual Broadway Under the Stars played to an SRO crowd in an elegant tent on the historic Tewksbury, New Jersey property of Cherie King, The Development Wing and her husband composer, lyricist and book writer, Jonathan Brielle, Artistic Director of The Development Wing and Vice President, The Johnny Mercer Foundation. For the third year in a row, WAM Theatre and The Mop & Bucket Improv Company (MopCo) will bring together over 50 theatre artists from the Berkshire and Capital Region areas to produce the 24hr Theatre Project. Together, these artists will mount five short works; all written, rehearsed, and performed in 24 hours. The 3rd Annual 24hr Berkshires/Capital Region Theatre is hosted by Proctors Theatre in Schenectady, NY, with a public performance taking place tonight, May 18 at 8pm.

American Theater Group's first musical theater presentation at its new home at UC-PAC's Hamilton Stage in Rahway, New Jersey, Jonathan Brielle's Himself and Nora opened Saturday April 27, 2013 to an SRO audience. The area premiere of Spamalot runs June 26 - July 7 and will be directed and choreographed by Jennifer Werner (Broadway's The Book of Mormon and Spamalot). Music Direction is by Eric Kang (TriArts' The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas).

Tickets are now on sale for WAM Theatre's World Premiere production of The Old Mezzo by Berkshire-based playwright Susan Dworkin. The production runs October 12-28 at the Berkshire Museum at 39 South Street, Pittsfield, Mass.
