On Saturday, March 26, over 500 business and arts leaders attended the Arts Council's 14th Annual Celebration of the Arts in Howard County & 30th Anniversary Gala at Howard Community College's Peter and Elizabeth Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center in Columbia.

According to Ew.com, Fiona Shaw and Gary Cole are set to join the cast of Alan Ball's True Blood for its fourth season. Th stage star will play Marnie, 'a mousy, timid and secretly self loathing storefront medium and palm reader who is taken over by the spirit of a powerful witch.' No details have been released on Cole's character.

The City of Cleveland Heights and Cain Park proudly announce that Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Music & Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, Book by Hugh Wheeler) opens Cain Park's 2010 season in the Alma Theater June 11-27 (preview June 10). Paul Gurgol, founder/artistic director of Kalliope Stage, directs this 1979 Tony Award-winning musical thriller with music direction by Jodie Ricci.

Cain Park presents a concert reading of FAMOUS SON, a new original work with book and lyrics by John Paul Boukis and music by Terry Waltz and John Paul Boukis, on Tuesday, June 22 at 7 pm in the Alma Theater. Admission is free.
