Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, recognized by U.S. Congress as 'a vital American cultural ambassador to the world,' returns to Paris, Basel, several German cities, and Copenhagen to perform 15 ballets from July 4 - September 10.

???????Ailey Extension celebrates NYC Dance Week, a citywide festival from June 15-24, by offering 30 free dance and fitness classes for new students*. Continuing through Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's Lincoln Center engagement June 14-18, free classes will be held at The Ailey Studios - home to the world-renowned Ailey dancers - featuring nearly all of Ailey Extension's 25 techniques, many taught with live accompaniment.

Songwriter, recording artist, and activist Solange Knowles is the evening's Honorary Chair. Her third and most recent album, A Seat at the Table, debuted at number one on the Billboard chart in October.

For more than four decades, the renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater has graced the New York City Center stage, sharing the transformative power of dance. Returning this season, New Yorkers can experience dance on and off stage by partaking in a special offer, Ticket to Dance. Billy Wilson, author of the new book 'Our Great Country, AMERICA, is Dying', is a pastor who grew up in North Central Arkansas, has been a pastor for approximately forty years and is currently the pastor at Lute Mountain Community Church. Billy, father of four and grandfather to thirteen, resides in Shirley, Arkansas, with his wife, Linda.
