Music Director and Conductor Michael Krajewski, the nationally recognized Pops conductor who performs with orchestras throughout the country, brings back his innovative programming and lighthearted approach with the 2014-2015 concert season of The Philly POPS. Encore Series, Inc, the presenter of The Philly POPS, is pleased to introduce this exciting series of concerts which begins in October, 2014 with the Era of ABBA, followed by Classic Soul. It continues with a salute to the American Songbook Then and Now and a visit to the movies with Epic Hollywood Soundtracks. The season ends with the Legends of Rock.

Alexa Ray Joel, while being the daughter of American icons Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley, has managed to forge a distinct path with elements of both parents' careers. Since she was 15, Joel has been writing complete songs and complementing those songs with piano accompaniment, and writing poetry. Newsday has described her music as 'instantlyhummable' and praised its 'carefree braininess.' Recently, Joel was featured in The Gap's 'Back to Blue' ad campaign, performing a cover of Billy Joel's 'Just The Way You Are.' She reveals her unique artistry in a two-week engagement at the legendary Cafe Carlyle, April 1-12.
American Airlines Center Upgrades Digital Fan Experience With Free AT&T Wi-Fi

DALLAS, March 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ American Airlines Center has worked with AT&T* to upgrade the fan experience and bring spectators closer to the action than ever before, launching a new Wi-Fi network at the 21,000-plus seat facility with more than 315 new AT&T Wi-Fi access points. The AT&T Wi-Fi network is broadcast using Aruba equipment and facilitated by Aruba Mobility Controllers.

Dance Theatre of Harlem (DTH) held its 2014 Vision 2014 Gala on February 25th at Cipriani 42 in New York City. As Dance Theatre of Harlem celebrates its 45th Anniversary, this year's gala was themed 'Live the Moment' and raised $700,000, $75,000 of which resulted from the entertaining live auction conducted by Audrey Smaltz, with the proceeds benefitting the DTH School's Next Generation and Community Engagement Funds. Honorees were Grammy Award-winning recording artist Patti LaBelle with the Arthur Mitchell Vision Award; dance educator and arts advocate Jody Gottfried Arnhold with The Carl and Lily Pforzheimer Foundation Medal; and Goldman, Sachs & Co. senior partner Valentino D. The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra presents Grieg's Piano Concerto on a program that also features Dvor?a?k's Eighth Symphony and Sibelius' Spring Song today, February 27-March 2 in Englewood, Red Bank and Newark. Conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali, a 26-year-old prote?ge? of Gustavo Dudamel whom Gramophone has called a 'dynamic young Finn' whose 'career is developing at a rapid pace,' makes his NJSO debut. The March 2 performance at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark is the NJSO's second College Night event of the season.

Madison Square Garden Entertainment announced today that music icon Billy Joel has added a record-tying 12th show at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, December 18 as part of the Time Warner Cable Concert Series. The performance is part of Joel's franchise run at The World's Most Famous Arena. In 2006, Joel set a Madison Square Garden record by becoming the first solo artist to sell out twelve consecutive shows on a single tour, a feat memorialized by the first-time raising of a banner dedicated to a musical performer.
