John Michael Coppola, who appeared in Chicago's smash hit production of JERSEY BOYS, will headline A JERSEY VOICE: Sinatra to Springsteen…and Everyone in Between on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 7:30 pm at Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, 111 W. Campbell St. in Arlington Heights. The one night only concert event will also star THE FOUR C NOTES, the Midwest's only Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons tribute group. The song-filled evening will benefit Arlington Cares, a not-for-profit organization created to help raise money for the Village of Arlington Heights Emergency Assistance Fund. Tickets, priced at $40, are currently available at www.arlingtoncaresnfp.org. (more...)

According to the New York Times, dance legend Twyla Tharp, whose choreography has been seen on Broadway in such shows as Movin' Out and Come Fly Away, is going on the road. The choreographer will celebrate her 50th year in the business with a national tour that will eventually make its way to Lincoln Center on November 22, 2015. The 15-stop tour will feature twelve dancers and new works to the music of Bach, Henry Butler, Steve Bernstein and John Zorn. An official schedule has not yet been announced. (more...)

Vered and the Babes will star in a hip concert for families at the Jewish Museum on Sunday, February 22 at 11:30am. The band, featuring Vered Ronen with Rob Jost and Matt Hilgenberg, will perform funny, poignant, and upbeat melodies, reminiscent of doo-wop, from their hit album Good Morning My Love, praised by the Parents' Choice Foundation as having “warmth enough to melt the polar ice cap.” Vered plays a variety of instruments, ranging from French horn and trumpet to pots and pans, and will have kids and parents alike jumping and singing along. The concert program includes songs geared to helping new parents bond with their babies as well as tunes for children up to age 7. (more...)

Menzel will join the ranks of such music legends as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Billy Joel, Ray Charles, Beyonce and many more, in singing the National Anthem for Super Bowl XLIX at University of Phoenix Stadium.
