Brandon Victor Dixon to Appear at MUSE/IQUE's SUNSET ON SUNSET in November

MUSE/IQUE will conclude its adventurous yearlong concert series, L.A. Composed: A Festival of Los Angeles Music. Each concert of L.A. Composed focusses on a different street and the music that is associated with it. Sunset on Sunset, a musical journey into the center of L.A.'s soul, will be performed Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13 at 7:30pm at historic Union Station.

Following its successful launch in June 2012, and with expanded programming thanks to funding from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation as part of its Knight Arts Challenge Grant, City Theatre invites playwrights to pack up the laptop and come to Miami, Florida, for the 2nd Annual CityWrights: A Professional Weekend for Playwrights, today, June 14 through June 17, 2012. CityWrights is presented as a program of City Theatre's 17th Annual Summer Shorts Festival. Professional playwrights, early career and emerging playwrights, students, and all writers are welcome to attend.

Kristin Davis to Star in & Executive Produce Lifetime's OF TWO MINDS

Lifetime is set to premiere the original movie Of Two Minds, starring and executive produced by Emmy(R)-nominated actress Kristin Davis (Sex and the City, Couples Retreat) and co-starring Emmy(R)-winner Tammy Blanchard (Moneyball, LMN's Amish Grace) and Oscar(R)-winner Louise Fletcher (One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest). From a screenplay by Oscar-nominated writer Richard Friedenberg (A River Runs Through It, Promise), the Sony Pictures Television distributed film takes the viewer on an emotional journey as they are given an intimate look at a family's struggle to cope with a loved one suffering from schizophrenia and the challenges that threaten to tear them apart. Of Two Minds will debut on Lifetime Saturday, March 10, at 8 pm ET/PT.

Drilling Company Ends Run of FAITH Short Plays Project 5/23

Declaring 'We all believe in something...don't we?,' The Drilling Company has set a short play project on the subject. The troupe (www.drillingcompany.org), known as a home for award-winning writers, has saved the theater where they made their home for the last ten years and in September 2009, assumed the lease on the venue formerly known as the 78th Street Theatre Lab, citing their faith in the space. The production will end its run on May 23rd.

The troupe (www.drillingcompany.org), known as a home for award-winning writers, has saved the theater where they made their home for the last ten years and in September 2009, assumed the lease on the venue formerly known as the 78th Street Theatre Lab, citing their faith in the space. To mark the occasion, at the time of the takeover they commissioned nine emerging playwrights to write short works on the subject of faith. The entire project, titled 'Faith,' will be presented as a two hour evening May 6 to 23.
