'Cozy, Effective Little Chiller' Up Next On The Kitchen Theatre Stage

The Kitchen Theatre Company (KTC) presents its second show of the 2018-19 Season: The Piano Teacher by Julia Cho, a play the New York Times called 'A cozy, effective little chiller.' The Piano Teacher is a haunting story of elusive truths that explores the power of memory-both those we recall and those we've chosen to forget. Performances of The Piano Teacher begin at the Kitchen Theatre Company in the Percy Browning Performance Space on October 21st and run through November 4th. Opening night is Thursday, October 25th.

20TH CENTURY BLUES Enters Final Weeks, Announces Talkback January 9th

Two-time Obie Award winning playwright, Susan Miller, will be joined by cast members from the new Off-Broadway play 20TH CENTURY BLUES for a post show talkback following the 7:30 PM performance on Tuesday, January 9th. 20TH CENTURY BLUES opened on November 26 at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street) with the New York Times calling it the show 'heartfelt and genuine' and a Critic's Pick from Deadline. The show will end its 10-week limited engagement on Sunday, January 28.

Producer Lida Orzeck and Executive Producer Eva Price are pleased to announce The New York premiere of the new play, 20TH CENTURY BLUES, from Susan Smith Blackburn Prize-winner and two-time OBIE Award-winning playwright Susan Miller (My Left Breast). Two-time OBIE Award-winner and Tony Award-nominee Emily Mann (Having Our Say, Anna in the Tropics) will direct the 10-week limited engagement beginning November 12 with performances through January 28 and an official opening night set for November 26. 20TH CENTURY BLUES will play at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W. 42nd Street).

The New York premiere of the new play, 20TH CENTURY BLUES, from Susan Smith Blackburn Prize-winner and two-time OBIE Award-winning playwright Susan Miller (MY LEFT BREAST) begins previews Sunday, November 12 at 3:00 PM at at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street). Two-time OBIE Award-winner and Tony Award-nominee Emily Mann (HAVING OUR SAY, ANNA IN THE TROPICS) will direct the company, which features Beth Dixon ( The Good Wife, Infinitely Polar Bear, MAJOR BARBARA), three-time Helen Hayes Award-winner Franchelle Stewart Dorn (Red Bull Theater's 'TIS PITY SHE'S A WHORE), Emmy Award-nominee Polly Draper ( thirtysomething, Obvious Child, CLOSER), two-time OBIE Award-winner Kathryn Grody (TOP GIRLS, THE MODEL APARTMENT), OBIE Award-winner Ellen Parker (THE HEIDI CHRONICLES), and Charles Socarides (SONS OF THE PROPHET, When We Rise ). The 10-week limited engagement will open on Sunday, November 26.
