Cast members of the national touring production of Motown the Musical (coming to Detroit April 18 - 30 at the Fisher Theatre) will perform in a special concert to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and Ferndale's Blessings in a Backpack. 'MOTOWN UNPLUGGED: A LEGACY OF LOVE' takes place at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 24 at The Loving Touch, 22634 Woodward Avenue, Ferndale. Doors open at 6 p.m. for the 18+ event.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced a collection of seven productions for its 2017-18 subscription season. Featured in the season are new and classic works by Tony Kushner, Julia Cho, Daniel Handler (Lemony Snicket), Dominique Morisseau, Nilaja Sun, Lillian Hellman, directed by Tony Taccone, Lisa Peterson, Des McAnuff, and Ron Russell. The 2017-2018 Broadway in Wilmington series at The Playhouse on Rodney Square was announced today at a special launch event.
