NBC has released the first promo for its midseason comedy 1600 PENN starring Book of Mormon's Josh Gad. Described as 'Modern Family' meets 'The West Wing', the comedy is from executive producers Jason Winer ('Modern Family'), Gad and Jon Lovett (former White House speechwriter). NBC's THE VOICE will decisively declare a winner when the intense vocal competition series concludes its third season with a live two-hour finale on Tuesday, December 18 (9-11 p.m. ET). The finale also will be preceded with a live, 90-minute final performance episode of 'The Voice' on Monday, December 17 (8-9:30 p.m.ET) -- which will be followed by a sneak preview of NBC's new comedy series 1600 PENN; (9:30-10 p.m. ET).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Benjamin Stockham has joined the cast of NBC's upcoming comedy pilot 1600 PENN. The actor will join previously announced cast members Bill Pullman, Jenna Elfman, Brittany Snow, Amara Miller, Josh Gad and Andre Holland.
