Kansas City Actors Theatre unveils its Season 9 program

Tickets for Danny DeVito and Judd Hirsch in Neil Simon's classic comedy 'The Sunshine Boys' will go on sale today, July 21, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre box office at the Los Angeles Music Center, through CTG's Audience Services at (213) 972-4400 and online at www.CenterTheatreGroup.org.

Dirty Blonde explores the phenomenon of the Mae West, one of America's most enduring and controversial pop culture icons. Best Play nominee for 2000, the musical drama features songs from West's films, including She Done Him Wrong and I'm No Angel. It comes to Middlebury's Town Hall Theater for 4 performances, July 18-20.

The Orpheum Theatre announces changes to its spectacular 2013-2014 Broadway Season, sponsored by Harrah's Tunica: FLASHDANCE THE MUSICAL will perform September 19 - 25 and the season will now include the JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHICOLOR DREAMCOAT in place of the lesser known musical revue, THE MUSIC OF ANDREW LLYOD WEBBER.

Join a live studio audience on the set of a '70s-style sitcom as The Inconvenience, The New Colony and the University of Chicago's Theater and Performance Studies Program team up to co-produce the world premiere of B-SIDE STUDIO, co-written by Inconvenience Resident Writer Ike Holter and New Colony Co-Artistic Director Evan Linder and directed by Nicholas J. Carroll, Andrew Hobgood and Gus Menary. B-SIDE STUDIO is performed on Fridays and Saturdays at 9/8c (that's 8 pm in Chicago, meathead!) from September 13 - October 12, 2013 at The Logan Center for the Arts, 915 E. 60th St. in Chicago. The press performances are Friday, September 13 at 8 pm and Saturday, September 14 at 8 pm.

Actor's Actors Inc.'s The Necessary Theatre, in cooperation with the U.P. School of Economics Alumni Association, will transfer the 2010 Tony Award-winning play "Red" from the College of Saint Benilde-School of Design and Arts in Taft Avenue, Manila to Teatrino, Greenhills, San Juan on Friday, August 23, to Saturday, August 24, at 7 p.m.

Jerry Ruiz (Love Goes to Press, Basilica) directs a cast that includes Cliff Bemis, Teddy Bergman, Bernardo Cubria, Jennifer Harmon, Carole Healey, Christine Toy Johnson, Natalie Kuhn, Brian MacDonald, Jennifer McVey and Rachel Moulton. Philip Goes Forth will have scenic design by Steven C. Kemp, costume design by Carisa Kelly, lighting design by Christian DeAngelis, and sound design by Toby Algya. Performances begin on August 24th and continue through October 20th. Opening Night is set for September 16th at Mint's home (311 West 43rd Street).
