Legendary rockers Edgar Winter & Rick Derringer return to The Ridgefield Playhouse tonight, February 6, at 8 p.m. Edgar Winter is well known for his million selling record, 'Frankenstein', and other hits such as 'Free Ride' and 'Tobacco Road'. Rick Derringer, as a member of The McCoys, had the number one hit 'Hang On Sloopy' which knocked the Beatles out of their number one spot on Billboard that year. His solo smashes were 'Rock and Roll Hootchie Koo,' 'Still Alive and Well' and 'Teenage Love Affair'. The night will include a tribute to the late Johnny Winter. Tom Tom's Restaurant and Bakery (417 Main St., Ridgefield) will pour a free glass of house wine with dinner the night of this show when tickets/stubs are presented. On March 13, 2015, The New York Pops continues its 31st season with two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster in her solo debut at Carnegie Hall. Among other musical standards, Foster will reprise her unforgettable performances of "Anything Goes" and "I Get a Kick Out of You" from her Tony Award-winning turn as Reno Sweeney in the Cole Porter classic. She will also offer her own take on "Down with Love," made famous by Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand. Foster will be joined by special guest artists Joshua Henry and Megan McGinnis, who will sing the showstopper "Let It Sing" from Violet, and the touching "Neverland" from Peter Pan.

John Tartaglia to Lead BUYER & CELLAR at George Street Playhouse

George Street Playhouse and Artistic Director David Saint have announced that New Jersey native John Tartaglia, from the original Broadway cast of Avenue Q, as well as TV's Sesame Street and the Emmy Award - nominated Johnny and the Sprites will be appearing in New Brunswick as the sole cast member of Buyer & Cellar, the fourth production of the New Brunswick theatre's current season. Mr. Tartaglia will take the fictional journey to the fictional version of Barbra Streisand's fictional basement beginning March 3 through March 29. Opening night is set for Friday, March 6. Mr. Saint helms the production.

According to The New York Post, Melissa Rivers has filed a medical malpractice suit against the Yorkville Endoscopy Center, the clinic where her mother, Joan Rivers, underwent a routine procedure back in August whiche lead to her death.
