Jonathan Groff Will Take Part in Frank DiLella's SHOW BIZ AFTER HOURS at Birdland on 1/11

The Broadway at Birdland concert series will present NY1 theater journalist Frank DiLella in the second episode of his new talk show, 'Show Biz After Hours With Frank DiLella.' The event will be taped in front of a live audience on Monday, January 11 at 7pm, with Frank's very special guest Jonathan Groff, who is currently starring on Broadway as King George in the smash hitHamilton. Groff originated the role of Melchoir Gabor in the stage musical, Spring Awakening, for which he earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Leading Actor in a Musical in 2007. He continued his rise to fame during the first season of Glee, as Jesse St. James, a role he reprised in the second and third seasons of the show, and recently starred on the HBO series 'Looking.'

Theatre District Staple Bond 45 Will Move to the Edison Hotel in 2016

According to the New York Post, theatre district institution Bond 45 will change locations next year. The 45th Street restaurant will move up one block into the Edison Hotel (West 46th Street)- a space that is over 30% larger (at 10,000 square feet) than their current location.

Cast Announced for East Coast Debut of Lynn Nottage's SWEAT at Arena Stage

The new drama Sweat by Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage (Ruined; By The Way, Meet Vera Stark) comes to Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater following a critically-acclaimed debut at Oregon Shakespeare Festival as part of a co-commission between the two theaters. Hailed by The New York Times as an 'extraordinarily moving drama' that 'brims with the kind of ripe, richly imagined life associated with the work of the great August Wilson,' the play is directed by Nottage's longtime collaborator Kate Whoriskey and runs January 15-February 21, 2016 in the Kreeger Theater.

The New American Theatre Company NY (The NATCNY) is pleased to announce its upcoming benefit performance of excerpts from An Urban Christmas Carol, directed by the company's founding artistic director and veteran Broadway actor DeMone. Nicolas Dromard Will Temporarily Join JERSEY BOYS Later This Month

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Nicolas Dromard (MARY POPPINS, THE BOY FROM OZ) will join the cast of JERSEY BOYS later this month. Dromard will play Tommy DeVito (which he previously played in the 1st national tour), temporarily taking over for Richard H. Blake. He joins the company on December 21.

The show is adapted for the stage by veteran playwright Cheryl L. West (Arena's Pullman Porter Blues, Jar the Floor), who partners with celebrated director Charles Randolph-Wright (director of Broadway's Motown and an inaugural resident playwright with Arena Stage, where he premiered his play Love in Afghanistan).
